Freddy Carnes (Executive Producer)
Freddy
Carnes is an actor, producer, director, writer, composer and teacher in Austin, Texas. He has won awards and recognition for his work with children including
special recognition from Austin Mayor Will Wynn for his tour of "Capt. Can" (a show that taught children how to recycle). He has won a B. Iden Payne award for his role as The Shoemaker in "The Shoemaker and the Elves". He
has co-written and directed over 50 operas with elementary school
children. Some of the stories he has co-written with children include:
- "The Wizard of Oz"
- "A Midsummer's Nights Dream"
- "The Tempest"
- "The Secret Garden"
- "Romeo and Juliet"
- "Vasilisa and Baba Yaga"
- "Little House on the Prairie"
- "Aesop's Fables"
Freddy has produced several CD's of his original songs. Freddy has worked with many of the finest schools and arts organizations in Austin such as: Zachary Scott Theater, Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Montessori School and The City of Austin. He currently is a full-time staff member for Austin's largest educational theater company: Theatre Action Project!

Freddy's
work with Theatre Action Project includes "The Hamlet Project" which introduces at-risk
youth to the joys of Shakespeare in the after school hours, and
performing "World Tales and Tunes" for PreK-kinder most mornings.
Freddy was awarded the 2009 Central Texas After School Network
After School Staff Member of the year for his work teaching children
Shakespeare and Greek Mythology.

- "A Visit to Heaven" (based on a Mark Twain short story)
Olga Kasma-Carnes (Associate Producer)
Olga is a multi-talented artist! She has worked backstage at Zachary Scott Theater with director Dave Steakley. She has been a stage manager with Zilker Theater Productions and backstage with Second Youth Theater. She has been on the board of directors for Austin Circle of Theaters and Second Youth Theater. She has been a member of the B. Iden Payne Award Selection Committee for many years. She has been an actress in such productions as "Capt. Can", "I Saw Fire: The Story of Cowboy Chris", "Pigman Begins: Finn McCool" and "The Shoemaker and the Elves". She has been a stage manager and Associate Producer for "The Odyssey: A Rock Musical". She is also a wonderfully talented visual artist who grew up in Manhattan and happily moved to Austin 15 years ago!
